Anthem Blue Cross (8/23/15)
My mother, age 90 missed a payment for her anthem blue cross insurance and was dropped and they will not reinstate her. My parents(father deceased) have had this insurance for over 70 yrs through the LA unified school system where my Dad was a principal for 35 yrs; all of which managed by wageworks. Come to find out this was my Mom's primary insurance and she only has part B of medicare. After numerous calls on my sisters part and many hrs. waiting in line at the SSI office we are at a dead end. Bottom line no insurance co. will cover my Mom until she has Part A of medicare in place which will not go into effect until July 2016 as open enrollment is not until Jan.2016. So, my wonderful 90 yr. old Mother is without insurance other than Drs. office visits. How is this right I ask you!! Please advise me of a solution to this injustice.
