I purchased a product (Vitality Flush) from the Mooresville, NC store. thought I was purchasing JE NE SAIS QUOI Vitality lip flush, but instead I got JE NE SAIS QUOI Vitality Flush. Unfortunately, I did not have my receipt when I went to exchange. So the first time I tried to exchange, the store did not have the product I needed... told me to come back the following week. I explained that I did not have receipt, did not have rewards card and I paid with cash and I asked if this would be a problem. Manager on duty said "no". So herein lies the problem... sent my daughter back week later and tried to exchange item... manager said she could not do it without receipt and the best she could do was provide me with credit for half the value of the product. Unacceptable. So, my daughter, not knowing she was getting screwed ended up paying an additional $5 for a lesser valued product. Lip is $20, other $25. went to buy hair dye (8/28/15)
This happened a few months ago but I have not been back to Ulta since it did. I wanted to do a few highlights on my hair and can't afford to go to a salon for it so I went to Ulta to buy a hair highlighting kit. While I was browsing an employee asked if i needed help and then asked if I really wanted to buy the product. She took the box out of my hand and proceeded to tell me that I did not know what I was doing and would ruin my hair. She said i should get it professionally done and when i said i didn't have the money for it she said "then get a job to pay for it. It will be good for you" in a very rude way. Free it's a 10 miracle leave-in product (7/10/15)
I went to my local ULTA beauty store to get the free 2 oz. It's a 10 miracle leave in product, and was told they had no more. When I inquired if they had the product in the store to purchase I was led to area that had the product. They not only had the product, it was the same exact size. I was told it would cost $11.00. Why would I spend $11.00 for the same item they were giving out for free. View Gripe »

I have stopped shopping at all Ultas (especially Atlanta). I walk into the store looking for premium cosmetics and no one will help me. I asked someone for help and she said it wasn't her department and walked away just leaving me there. I ended up leaving empty handed. I phoned the store to complain and the manager kept side conversations while we were on the phone and blamed my bad experience on their lack of management.
